Preservation of a beautiful dual-purpose breed is important and the Buff Orpington in my opinion is a wonderful breed to have in your backyard flock. They have fantastic temperments, both Rooster & Hens, lovely plumage, are very cold hardy, fantastic mothers and lay lovely light tan and brown medium sized eggs.  I have the lucky fortune of gaining access to some lovely Show Quality birds and so I have decided to keep this line going.   If you would like to aquire eggs or chicks visit the For Sale page.

We aquired the parent stock from Don Chandler, President of the United Orpington Club, an ag-science teacher at my daughter’s High School.The information I have on their parentage is they were hatched here in Newport, TN late summer 2008 and Don said they were from “Heather in Calif.   She got her’s from Charlie Haight in Calif. Charle has the Clevenger line he got from Bob many years ago.”
